This event is part of The Triumph of Art, a nationwide project by artist Jeremy Deller, commissioned by the National Gallery, London, as part of NG200, its Bicentenary celebrations. The Triumph of Art is being developed in partnership with Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee, Mostyn in Llandudno, The Box Plymouth and The Playhouse in Derry-Londonderry. Alongside fellow artist Jo Holt, I was commissioned by Jeremy Deller to turn five Atlas Balls into planets.

The Triumph of Art grand finale - a giant art party in the heart of London. Jo Holt and I were commissioned by the artist Jeremy Deller to turn five Atlas Balls into planets. Following their unveiling at Plymouth’s Tinside Lido on 5 July, the artworks travel to London, where they will be lifted by ‘strong people’ in front of Nelson’s Column.

Carnivalesque in the Far South West Exhibition, The Box, Plymouth

The exhibition explores Carnival and related traditions in Plymouth, Devon and beyond in response to John Lyons’ Carnivalesque, also on show at The Box. It looks at links between street performance and political resistance.
My map keeps excellent company with a hat and stick belonging to Beltane Border Morris, as well as a taxidermy raven. The map is also on display in a digitised format as part of the interactive Map Table

The Dartmoor Folklore Map Brought to Life...and Beyond! Field System, Ashburton

I bring to life my Dartmoor Folklore Map with the help of the wonderfully talented Arts University Plymouth BA (HONS) Costume Production students for a Halloween treat in the Field System gallery and studios.
Recounting the histories of 8 legendary Dartmoor women and witches through live tableaux, costume and storytelling, there will be enchantment and eeriness in equal measure! This will be a ticketed event with performances at set times throughout the afternoon, booking details to follow.
