Carnivalesque in the Far South West Exhibition,
The Box, Plymouth

The exhibition explores Carnival and related traditions in Plymouth, Devon and beyond in response to the John Lyons’ Carnivalesque, also on show at The Box. It looks at links between street performance and political resistance.
My map keeps excellent company with a hat and stick belonging to Beltane Border Morris as well as a taxidermy raven.The map is also on display in a digitised format as part of the interactive Map Table

The Dartmoor Folklore Map Brought to Life...and Beyond! Field System, Ashburton
Saturday 2nd November 2024 11 am-6 pm
I bring to life my Dartmoor Folklore Map with the help of the wonderfully talented Arts University Plymouth BA (HONS) Costume Production students for a Halloween treat in the Field System gallery and studios.
Recounting the histories of 8 legendary Dartmoor women and witches through live tableaux, costume and story telling, there will be enchantment and eerie in equal measure! This will be a ticketed event with performances at set times throughout the afternoon, booking details to follow.
